Prof. Fernando Ojeda from the University of Cadiz narrates this informative video on how the wonderful dewy pines catch their prey. Much of the information on dewy pine carnivory has come out of the long-term monitoring project. 

Southern Mediterranean heathlands, locally known as herriza, are a biodiversity hotspot. Conservation of dewy pines (an emblematic species strictly associated with heathland communities) is therefore also heathland conservation.
